Truffles Growing Conditions

The soil must be at an alkaline level sufficient to support tree and fungus alike. Is there any way I can grow them? Mother Nature knows her stuff and is not prepared to give up her secrets so easily. We also have a dog training school down in Hampshire. I think I am going to grow my own herb garden for sure.

And the region is very particular about when and how white truffles are sold. Simple handmade truffles. Not one of my favorite ox tongue dishes. A dog trained to sniff out truffles is the best and most environmentally friendly way to hunt for them.

So very open woodland is the most likely conditions. The region in which Alba is located is renowned for being the only region in the world where white truffles grow. Truffles are a type of mushrooms usually found growing near the stems of plants.
