I think this recipe has gently nudged Thomas Keller out of the top position. They must be loaded with good chocolate chips and not too sweet. I shaved a little dark chocolate over that. I decided the picnic was the perfect opportunity to continue my quest for the perfect chocolate cupcakes.
I used 2 eggs instead of 1 egg and 2 egg yolks. Chocolate Sheet Cake. I start with a recipe adapted from Cooks Illustrated. The goal this year was to reproduce said cake and improve on it if possible.
Chambord and topped it off with a decorative touch of mascarpone icing! Make sure you use enough yogurt to keep it from doing that. Has anyone made this yet? American Classics magazine.
