I make a cup of expresso instead of instant coffee and then I melt some dark chocolate in a small amount of whipping cream and pour it over the cooled cake.

I used a dark chocolate fudge mix. Since sweetened sour cream is a classic plain cheescake topping I gave this one a try for my chocolate cheesecake. I am the one who eats all the frosting excess that my family leaves behind. Definitely a keeper for holiday desserts.
