Chocolate Recipes Cake

This recipe was adapted from one that was an all chocolate dessert. My Nana always use to make a cake for our birthdays and other holidays. I wanted a chocolate cake in my repertoire that I could bake on the fly without too much fuss.

I would suggest doubling the recipe. You may either keep in a sealed container or back in the freezer! I sprinkled almonds on top of part of the cake this time because I was in the mood for nuts and they were all I had. Any ideas or good recipes?
